We loved working with Filter finder to deliver this bespoke website design. They wanted to set their brand apart from the competition, make it easier for their clients to find products and place orders.
Below is an image of how their website used to look compared to how it looks now.
Filter Finder needed to improve the user experience (UX) on their ecommerce website. Their website was difficult to navigate and often resulted in visitors calling the Filter Finder team to place an order rather than purchasing online.
They also required to improve the ability for customers to sign up for an account, as customer lifetime value increases when a website visitor registers for an online account.
The product search facility needed improving as the results it returned were important for encouraging visitors to remain on the site and opt for an alternative if an exact product match was not available. The number and complexity of the products within their database, as well as the multi-site fulfilment locations were a major issue on their current site as was the security of their intellectual property.
Finally they wished to set their brand apart from the competition and establish themselves as industry leaders in their field by providing a fresh approach within the engineering industry.
We initially provided them with a new logo and brand guidelines, giving them a fresher look and feel that stood out from their more traditional competitors. This refreshed brand provided the blueprint for the website design.
We reviewed the customer journey of the current website and identified where the user experience (UX) was affected by poor page layout, unclear Call To Actions, and confusing navigation. We then mapped out the desired customer journey, taking the user from search to purchase, via account registration, in the simplest way possible.
We then rebuilt the website using Shopify to provide control to the Filter Finder team allowing greater insight and control over the activity on the site and the content within it. During the initial website review we discovered Filter Finder had ambitions to enter new global markets, building the site on Shopify provided a platform to replicate the offering across multiple locations.
To effectively manage their multi-location stock and the complexity of their products we built a stand-alone app and integrated it with the Shopify site.
The new website has revived the Filter Finder brand and helped them to gain notoriety within their industry, contributing towards the Filter Finder team being shortlisted for a Growth & Strategy Award with industry body Make UK.
The clearer navigation has reduced the need for customers to contact them unnecessarily and the clear Call To Action buttons have made it easier for visitors to register for an account.
The Filter Finder team continues to receive development support from the Summit Creative team to support with ongoing innovations that keep them at the forefront of their industry.
We're all about collaboration and inclusivity, so we love to work closely with our clients - but not everyone wants that and we totally get that. We'll work in a way that suits you whilst ensuring that we're on the same page every step of the way - from our first discovery session right through to project completion.
